On the appliance's own display. Samsung reports errors two ways: machines with a digital display show a code, and the same machines without one blink their cycle lights instead. A code that has been reset is information a technician no longer has.
What to do about it
- Check that both taps are fully open and stay open while the cycle runs.
- Confirm hot is on hot and cold is on cold, and that neither hose is kinked behind the machine.
- Cut the power for a minute and try again; a filling error that does not return was a timing problem rather than a plumbing one.
- With the taps off, disconnect the hoses and look at the inlet screens. Grit there is common in older buildings and is a five-minute fix.
- If the supply is proved good and the code persists, the inlet valve or the level sensing is next.
