Samsung points at a specific part for this and it is one anybody can look at: the plunger switch, a round black cap with a pin that stands out about three quarters of an inch when the door is open and should move freely under a finger. A plunger that is stiff, or that does not come out when the door opens, is the answer. The other half is a door that simply is not closing all the way, which on a heavy oven door usually means the hinges.

- Check the door closes fully and sits square against the frame all the way round.
- Look for anything on a rack holding the door off its seal.
- If the plunger is stiff or does not extend, or the door will not close square, that is the repair rather than the electronics.
