Symptom
Samsung oven temperature is wrong
Ovens drift, and they drift more over ten years than anybody expects. The question is whether the drift is inside what the control can absorb — in which case calibration is the whole repair — or whether the sensor has stopped telling the truth.

What this usually turns out to be
Cheapest and commonest first, which is also the order we check them in. They sit hundreds of dollars apart, and only the unit settles which one is yours.

None of it needs tools, and all of it makes the visit shorter.
-
01
Clear the vent at the back of the cooktop
And check nothing is normally stored there.

02
Measure with an oven thermometer
In the middle of the cavity, through a full preheat and thirty minutes beyond it.

03
Note whether it is high, low or swinging
Consistently off is calibration or a sensor. Swinging widely is cycling or a fan.

About Samsung oven temperature is wrong
Check the vent before the sensor
Samsung's C-24 says the cavity is heating faster than it should, and their own explanation is the oven vent — at the back of the cooktop — being blocked or partly blocked. A pan parked over it will do it. That is free to check and it is a genuine cause of an oven that runs hot.
What it usually means, by the kind of Samsung appliance
Samsung sells one appliance in several forms, and the same behavior points at different things on each of them. A built-in side-by-side and an integrated column are not the same service situation, and a dual-fuel range and an induction range fail in different halves.
- Electric — The sensor is a probe in the cavity and it is measured cold and hot against a known curve.
- Gas — Add the burner and the valve to the list; a gas oven that overshoots and undershoots widely is often cycling rather than drifting.
- Convection models — A fan that has stopped changes the effective temperature everywhere in the cavity without changing what the sensor reads.
What calibration can and cannot do
Most Samsung ovens allow the control to be offset by a limited number of degrees. If the oven is consistently thirty degrees low, that is inside the adjustment and the repair is a setting. If it is a hundred degrees out, or it swings by fifty during a bake, the adjustment will not help — the sensor or the control is not reporting reality, and offsetting a wrong number gives a differently wrong number.
The self-diagnosis trap
Samsung publishes C-10 for the SmartThings self diagnostic, and says openly that a very cold or very hot oven at the start of the test can produce it with nothing wrong. If your only evidence of a temperature problem is a code from a self test, run the test again from room temperature before concluding anything.

Questions about Samsung oven temperature is wrong
Everything I bake comes out underdone but the oven says it is up to temperature.
That is exactly the case for measuring with a separate thermometer. The oven's own reading is what is under suspicion, so it cannot be the evidence.
It was fine until we had a power outage.
Worth mentioning. A control that lost power mid-cycle can come back with its calibration or its settings changed, and that is a five-minute fix rather than a part.
