# Samsung appliance installation

### Fitted so that it works and so it can be serviced

Levelled properly, connected properly, run through a cycle before we leave, and left in a state where whoever comes next can reach it. A dishwasher drain that rises into a high loop. A dryer vent that is not crushed behind the machine. A refrigerator with its water line routed so the cabinet can still come out. A surprising share of the calls on this site are installation errors surfacing months later, and every one of them was avoidable in the first twenty minutes.

What this involves

Levelled, connected, tested and left working

Water, drain and vent connections done properly rather than quickly

Old appliance disconnected and moved out

Check the space before the appliance goes in

Opening size, supply, drain, vent route and how the door will swing. Finding a problem here costs minutes; finding it afterwards costs a second visit.

Connect it properly rather than quickly

Hot to hot and cold to cold on a washer, because crossed hoses produce a code the first time somebody runs a cold cycle. A dishwasher drain that rises into a high loop. A dryer vent that is not crushed the moment the machine goes back.

Level it, and lock the feet

A washer that is not sitting flat will trigger balance protection on loads a level machine handles, and will wear out its own suspension doing it. The lock nuts matter as much as the height.

Run it before we leave

A full cycle on a washer or a dishwasher, a heat check on a dryer, and temperatures on a refrigerator after it has had time to pull down. An appliance that has not been run has not been installed.

Leave it serviceable

Enough slack in the water line that the cabinet can come out again, and the old appliance disconnected and moved out of the space.

### Can you take the old appliance away?

We disconnect it and move it out of the space as part of the job. Disposal is arranged separately and we will tell you what it costs before the day.
