# Samsung refrigerator: Ice bucket not seated

### What the appliance is actually reporting

A blinking Ice Off indicator means the bucket is not in place, or not far enough in for the cabinet to see it. It is the most common ice complaint that is not a repair at all, and it is worth trying before anything else: a bucket that has been taken out to be emptied and put back at a slight angle will stop ice production completely and silently.

### Where this appears, and why not to clear it

On the cycle lights, on a machine with no digital display.
